A new clip for Fox's upcoming found footage flick 'Devil's Due', has made its way online.. The film will land in theaters January 17th... Back in 2012 another little film was released in January - It too also had Devil in its title.. The mother of all piss stains I'm talking about is "The Devil Inside".. It is one of the worst films I have ever watched.. So I think, I have the right to be a little skeptical..

If any of you guys have ever watched Brian Yuzna's 1989 flick 'Society', then you know its one of the most insane films ever made.. I have always wondered why the film never had a sequel, but it appears that is about to change.. In a recent chat with the Horror Channel Brian Yuzna told the site:

"I am actively working on it. Once again it is all about the financing. My idea for a sequel is to have it take place in these super exclusive late night clubs that they have in Hollywood. Once you get in there is always a VIP room or a VVIP room that is off limits..."

10.30 Evil Dead 2 Troubles:

Well this is kind of a shocker, it looks like director Fede Alvarez is no longer involved with 'Evil Dead 2'.. If you guys remember as far back as March Alvarez revealed he was already working on the sequel..



So what happen? Just a couple of weeks ago Alvarez was keeping us all updated on Army Of Darkness 2, he made no indication that he was no longer working on Evil Dead 2..

But now his co-writer on Evil Dead (Rodo Sayagues) has made it clear that Evil Dead 2 is not happening, not with them anyways.. In an interview with Gorosito TV Sayagues said:

"Look, I am sorry to tell you this but that movie won’t happen.. Evil Dead 2 is not going to happen, at least not with us involved. We left that project many months ago because we preferred to put our energies on other things."

"I don’t know if the producers still have intentions of making it. But what I can tell you is that we are not part of that project."

Me personally I really enjoyed Evil Dead, I didn't look at the film as a remake.. It felt more like a story about another group of friends visiting the cabin and having to face the evil force..

Wow big shock!! AMC has renewed 'The Walking Dead' for a fifth season.. All joking aside this is a no brainer, The Walking Dead is one of the most popular shows on tv and the series continues to bring in record ratings for AMC..

10.29 'Trick 'r Treat 2' Will Have It's Day:

Lets face it, sequel talk relating to Trick 'r Treat 2 has been dead for years.. But it appears the film might be on after all.. During a special screening (Egyptian Theater in Hollywood for Beyond Fest’s) last night for Michael Dougherty's cult classic 'Trick 'r Treat'.. Dougherty was taking part in a panel hosted by Seth Green that featured Brian Cox and Bryan Singer...

Anyways Sam (himself) came out and delivered Dougherty a card: "MAKE A SEQUEL." Dougherty replied: "That it’s not his call... It’s Thomas Tull from Legendary’s call." Then I guess Tull stood up and replied: "I can’t say no to Sam. Let’s make a sequel!"

In case some of you don't remember Trick 'r Treat was originally set to be released back in October 2007. Warner Bros. pulled the release date without any explanation.. The flick was shelved for two years, finally being released in 2009 on dvd..

Ok as you guys can tell, the horror world has been somewhat slow for the past few days.. So I am reporting on a bit of news no news here.. It appears a fan wanted to know if the upcoming remake of Hellraiser will be rated PG-13? Ummm

Clive Barker posting on his facebook page: “As questions are asked I’ll do my best to answer them, though as you all know making movies is a volatile art, and things seldom remain fixed," - "One question regarding the rating has been asked. I asked it too, and Dimension confirmed that they are purely interested in an R-rated picture."

Now a bit of actual news, once again Barker posting on his facebook page: “Somebody else asked why I’m not writing something original, the answer is that I am. After Hellraiser I intend to write and direct a completely new horror movie, which will mingle graphic horror and erotic content, to create an unrated film which will push the envelope of extreme content further than ever..."

As most of you already know Clive Barker is currently writing the script to the upcoming remake of 'Hellraiser'.. Why anyone would think, the film had any chance of a pg-13 rating is beyond me.. Hellraiser has been one of the most brutal franchises in the history of cinema..

It appears Clive Barker is currently writing the script for the remake of 'Hellraiser', according to Barker's facebook page:

"HOT FROM HELL! My friends, I have some news which may be of interest to you. A few weeks ago I had a very productive meeting with Bob Weinstein of Dimension Pictures, in the course of which I pitched a remake of the first HELLRAISER film. The idea of my coming back to the original film and telling the story with a fresh intensity-honoring the structure and the designs from the first incarnation but hopefully creating an even darker and richer film-was attractive to Dimension.

Today I have officially been invited to write the script based upon that pitch. What can I tell you about it? Well, it will not be a film awash with CGI. I remain as passionate about the power of practical make-up effects as I was when I wrote and directed the first HELLRAISER. Of course the best make-up in the world loses force if not inhabited by a first-rate actor. I told the Dimension team that in my opinion there could never be a Pinhead without Doug Bradley, and much to my delight Bob Weinstein agreed. So once the papers are signed, I will open a Lemarchand Configuration, dip my quill in its contents and start writing. Plot: Six dead women wake up in the crawl space below their killer's house only to discover that they are trapped in their own limbo and purgatory. The house itself contains many rooms revealing hints and clues to their past lives and how they've come to end up where they are. One by one and alone, each girl is forced to accept their fate or remain in place, between the walls of a rotting house...

10.22 Dan Aykroyd Talks 'Ghostbusters 3':

In a recent chat with 3news.co.nz, Dan Aykroyd discusses the longggggg talked about sequel 'Ghostbusters 3'.. When asked about Bill Murray’s  involvement or the lack thereof:

"Well, Billy is welcome to come in. He hasn’t committed, of course we have a hole for him there and a portal for him to walk through if he wants to. We are very close now to getting it together to start casting and hiring people.

Aykroyd goes on to say: "You don’t need anyone from the first one. You don’t, it’s so strong without it. You get a new generation in there, new plot, use some of the particle physics, get a new Ecto, you don’t need to go back to the past."

Plot: "It’s based on new research that’s being done in particle physics by the young men and women at Columbia University,” he tells King. “…Basically, there’s research being done that I can say that the world or the dimension that we live in, our four planes of existence, length, height, width and time, become threatened by some of the research that’s being done. Ghostbusters — new Ghostbusters — have to come and solve the problem."

I really hope one day we will see a Ghostbusters 3, but I don't see it happening anytime soon..
