6.30 Producer Malek Akkad Talks 'Halloween 3D':

Over the past couple of months there have been a tone of news/rumors for 'Halloween 3D', now producer Malek Akkad has decided to clear a few things and btw whatever happen Patrick Lussier and Todd Farmer Halloween flick?

Will the new film be a sequel to Zombies Halloween? "I can’t talk about it too much right now, but it will definitely keep elements and bring in new elements. But I really want to bring it back to kind of like, the classic – because the last one got a little dark – I want to bring it back to the classic Friday night horror film that people will really like."

What happen to Lussier's film: "Todd Farmer and Patrick Lussier did a script. The next day after the last one came out, we were back in production for Halloween 3D. We were about two weeks from going down to Louisiana to shoot it and for whatever reason, the studio thought we were maybe moving a little bit too quickly. I disagree. I think we had a great script and a great team and it would have been a massive hit. But right now we’re currently working on a new script for Halloween 3, so it’s all in the works right now..."

So it appears Akkad wants to bring the next film back to it's roots... It's still unclear if Scout Taylor-Compton will reprise her role as Laurie Strode, but now that Malek Akkad has confirmed that the new film will at least keep some elements of Rob Zombies flicks.. I think it's a pretty good chance that she will be cast as Laurie Strode once again..

6.28 Another Remake For 'The Omen':

Uggggg here we go again - It appears that 20th Century Fox and Platinum Dunes are gearing up to remake 'The Omen', once again.. As of right now the project does not have a director, so clearly the film is in the early development stage..

This will be the second remake for The Omen, back in 2006 Fox released the first remake starring Liev Schreiber and Julia Stiles.. The film received mixed reviews but did go on to earn around $120M worldwide on a $25M budget.. Not a good film at all..


In 1976 Richard Donner's classic was released, starring Gregory Peck And Lee Remick.. The film was a boxoffice smash, the story centered around mysterious deaths surrounding an American ambassador. Could the child that he is raising actually be the anti-christ? The devil's own son? Donner went on to direct Superman...

Last month it was reported that The lifetime Network was moving forward with a tv series titled 'Damien', the series will center around an older Damien.. Glen Mazzara (The Walking Dead), will be overseeing the project.. To be honest I have always thought the story of Damien (Antichrist), would work great as a series.. But I'm not sure if Lifetime is the network to pull it off..

6.26 Release Date For 'PACIFIC RIM 2':

Just a couple of weeks ago Writer/Director Guillermo del Toro confirmed that he was hard at work on a sequel to 'Pacific Rim', and that he was working with screenwriter Zak Penn (X-Men: The Last Stand and The Incredible Hulk).. But to be honest with the films weak boxoffice performance last year, it seem 50/50 at best if the film would ever be produced.. But how things have changed..

Today Universal and legendary pictures has officially announced a sequel to 'Pacific Rim', the film is set for release April 7, 2017.. Guillermo del Toro will return to direct, not a shocker there - also a new animated series based on Pacific Rim, will be produced as well..




Last summer Pacific Rim was a box office disappointment - only pulling in $102 million domestically.. But the film had a strong run internationally, pulling in over $309 million... The flick had a Production Budget of $190 million, not counting marketing cost..

I'm sure you guys remember, back in February Rob Zombie announced that he was working on a new film that would be in the same style of 'The Devil Rejects.. Then last month he revealed the title '31', for the upcoming film... Even though there has been some confusion regarding the title, is '31' or '3I'? In a interview with Radio Metal, Rob Zombie clears up a few questions and to whatever happen to his hockey film..



On the title of 31:

"31, yeah, because it takes place on October 31st."

Is the film a prequel?:

"No, it’s totally different. All I can tell you is that it’s a completely original idea, it’s something new. It’s not based on anything. I’ll start shooting the movie in the fall. So hopefully starting from October, I’ll start shooting it. For right now, I’m going to keep the details secret. But it’s not based on anything."

Is the clown image in the teaser video related to Captain Spaulding in any way?:

"Well, he doesn’t really look like him, I think. There’s a clown thing in the movie, but it has nothing to do with Captain Spaulding. And what is in the movie doesn’t look like Captain Spaulding either, maybe the people think the poster does but the movie won’t."

Why 31 is your next film, what happen to Broad Street Bullies (Hockey flick?:

"Well, it really didn’t have anything to do with not being ready. It’s all about money, you know. We didn’t have the money yet to do the hockey film. And someone decided that they would give me the money to do the other film, so I said “ok, I’ll do this one first and come back to do the other one later." Because I didn’t want to just sit around for years trying to get the movie made, because that’s how it goes sometimes, you know. Sometimes it takes a long time to get a movie made, and I didn’t want to wait. And every time I plan a movie another movie is the one I make. You know, they’re very expensive to make. So, as soon as I told someone the idea for 31, they were like "Oh! We’ll give you the money for that! Let do it!” So I was like “Ok! I’ll do that first and then I’ll come back to the other movie!"

It appears that three American friends have been possessed by evil spirits, hmmm demons if you will - after playing with a Ouija board in a village not far from San Juan Tlacotenco, south-west Mexico.. Alexandra Huerta 22 her brother Sergio, 23 and cousin Fernando Cuevas 18 were all taken to the hospital... Alexandra was in a trance-like state, growling' and thrashing around like a woman possessed - mean while Sergio and Fernando were also showing signs of possession! The side effects including feelings of blindness, deafness and hallucinations...

Alexandra's scared shitless parents said they had called paramedics after a local Catholic priest refused to perform an exorcism on the three because they are not getting their butts into church enough. The paramedics had to restrained Alexandra to prevent her from hurting herself, the three were treated with painkillers, anti-stress medication and eye drops... After getting high off of the painkillers and anti-stress meds, the three were feeling much better!

Original Story: focused on a man with no memory beyond the last 10 days and a computerized hand who discovers he is from the future. The man is being hunted by an alien race who see him as key to their survival but he soon discovers a more complex and terrifying truth...

As of right now the film does not have a director and a release date has not been set.. If you guys didn't know (Demon with a Glass Hand), is one of two Outer Limits stories that James Cameron and Gale Anne Hurd lifted from - the other being (Soldier) both written by Harlan Ellison.. Apparently the original Terminator was based on these two episodes... So much so that Cameron and Hurd had to acknowledge Ellison's work in the credits of The Terminator...

It appears that Paramount Pictures have confirmed that the next installment of Friday The 13th will be in 3D... Yesterday when the studio was announcing the upcoming films for 2015 'Friday The 13th In 3D', was on the list.. So does this mean the flick will still be found footage? I don't believe this will be a remake of Friday 3, but probably more of a stand-alone film..

A while back the film was pushed out of it's March 13th release date to November 13th, 2015.. I'm guessing that David Bruckner is still the director, but at this point who the hell knows..

It appears that Paramount Pictures has once again moved the release date for 'Paranormal Activity 5', the film was set to be release October 24th of this year.. But now without any reason given the studio has moved the film to 2016, now I'm assuming to give the writers time to come up with a better script? But who knows, Paramount never offers up any real concrete details when it comes to these films... Even though it's clear that the popularity of the paranormal activity franchise is dying fast.. I believe the franchise still has a little life left in it...

In a interview with Collider: Director Paul W.S. Anderson confirmed the film will be titled 'Resident Evil: The Final Chapter', I'm sure you guys know this will be the sixth and final film.. Till the reboot.. Come on we all know it's coming..

At one time the film was set to be release this September, but Anderson did tell the sit that the film does not have a start date and that the screenplay has yet to be completed..
