1.26 Update For 'The Strangers 2':

It was almost 2 years ago the last time producer Marc D. Evans updated us on the longgggg talked about sequel to the 2008 sleeper hit 'The Strangers'... At the time Evans said the sequel was moving forward and a director would be named soon.. But nothing ever came of it..

It now appears the project may be moving forward, according to The Wrap director Marcel Langenegger (DECEPTION) is close to signing on to helm the upcoming flick and that Ben Ketai (Chosen) has been working on the script..

Plot: "...a family on the verge of sending their troubled teenage daughter to boarding school as they embark on one last family trip to a mobile home park that their uncle runs. Their ast bonding opportunity turns to horror when the teenage children discover the bodies of their aunt and uncle, fresh from a recent visit from the Strangers — Man in the Mask, Pin Up Girl and Dollface.

The night becomes a race to escape for the family, as the masked killers take new pleasure in tormenting their victims in this twisted sequel that picks up where the original’s bloody footprints leave off."

The film will be produced by Roy Lee, Doug Davison, Nathan Kahane and Trevor Macy - Executive produced by Sonny Mallhi, Marc Evans and Joe Drake...

I am really surprised it has taking this long to get a sequel for The Strangers, back in 2008 the flick pulled in $52,597,610 million dollars on a $9 million dollar budget..
