It appears we might finally get an extended cut to Fede Alvarez's reboot of 'EVIL DEAD'.. The re-imaging was release in to theaters over 3 years ago and if you guys remember the films original cut was NC-17 and needed to be cut down to receive the R rating..
Oddly the extended cut of the film accidentally ended up on British television about a year or so ago - the cut featured: Additional plot scenes, more violence, among other thing. The MPAA cuts were reversed and the infamous chainsaw scene from the trailer was back in the movie. Furthermore, the end credits present an alternate ending..
According to Fede Alvarez. he is looking to release the extended cut of the film on to blu-ray next month - given that Halloween is only a few weeks away, we should hear an official announcement soon...
