12.13 Dimension Films Kicks 'Amityville: The Awakening' To The Curb

It appears the jackasses over "Dimension Films/Blumhouse" have once again scrubbed the release date for Franck Khalfoun's 'Amityville: The Awakening', without naming a new release date.. The film was set to land in theaters January 6th 2017, as a matter of fact - the flick has had several release dates over the past few years..

Casts: Bella Thorne, Cameron Monaghan, Taylor Spreitler, Mckenna Grace, Kurtwood Smith, Hunter Goligoski, Thomas Mann And Jennifer Jason Leigh...

Plot: Belle, her little sister, and her comatose twin brother move into a new house with their single mother Joan in order to save money to help pay for her brother's expensive healthcare. But when strange phenomena begin to occur in the house including the miraculous recovery of her brother, Belle begins to suspect her Mother isn't telling her everything and soon realizes they just moved into the infamous Amityville house...

Written And Directed By: Franck Khalfoun (Maniac and P2) - The MPAA originally gave the film an R for 'strong horror violence and for language.. But in a brilliant wave of awesomeness (sarcasm) the studio cut the film down to PG-13, in a attempt to make it more family friendly (in hopes of a bigger box office return)..
