6/9 Release Date Pulled For "Amityville: The Awakening":

OMG big shocker!! Once again Dimension Films has scrubbed the June 30th release date for Franck Khalfoun's "Amityville: The Awakening" without naming a new release date.. This move is not really a surprise, with only 3 weeks to go before the film was set to land in theaters there has been next to zero in marketing..

At this point I feel Dimension should just release the flick onto Blu-ray/dvd and VOD, rather than continuing with these meaningless release dates..

Cast: Bella Thorne, Cameron Monaghan, Taylor Spreitler, Mckenna Grace, Kurtwood Smith, Hunter Goligoski, Thomas Mann And Jennifer Jason Leigh...

Plot: Belle, her little sister, and her comatose twin brother move into a new house with their single mother Joan in order to save money to help pay for her brother's expensive healthcare. But when strange phenomena begin to occur in the house including the miraculous recovery of her brother, Belle begins to suspect her Mother isn't telling her everything and soon realizes they just moved into the infamous Amityville house...

Written And Directed By: Franck Khalfoun (Maniac and P2) - The MPAA originally gave the film an R for 'strong horror violence and for language.. But in a brilliant wave of awesomeness (sarcasm) the studio (Dimension Films 'YOU SUCK!!') cut the film down to PG-13, in a attempt to make it more family friendly (in hopes of a bigger box office return)..
