9/8 My Thoughts On Stephen King's "IT":

IT' centers around a group of bullied kids known as the Losers' Club in the Town of Derry, Maine.. When one of the kids younger brother goes missing, the group tries to find out what happened to the young boy, only to discover a horrific creepy ass clown known as Pennywise is behind the missing boy..

As more and more of the local kids start disappearing one by one.. The group must come together and try to stop this horrifying creature..

IT' is the best adaptation of a Stephen King novel since "The Green Mile" and easily the best adaptation since "Misery" when it comes to the horror/thriller genre..

At its core the film is a coming of age story, at times the flick reminded me of Stand By Me, The Goonies meets Stranger Things.. Being an 80s kid, the movie is oozing with nostalgia.. It made me miss the days when kids actually went on adventures.. But then again, I don't think any kid or adult would want to experience the kind of adventure The Losers' Club experienced!

The film does not hold back when it comes to the gruesome brutality of Pennywise.. I'm not at all afraid of clowns but I must say, this is by far the creepiest clown I have ever seen..

Pennywise is not the only threat the losers' club have to deal with.. The group also have to face a pack of older teen bullies, and to be honest at times these teen assholes can be more scarier than Pennywise..

IT' is pretty much everything you would want out of a horror movie, spot on acting by the whole cast.. Awesome chemistry with the losers' club, and very strong effects..

The biggest question I had going into the movie was, could Bill Skarsgård make a good Pennywise? The answer is an overwhelming YES!
