A new Jason movie coming soon? The guys over at The Devil's Eyes are reporting that WB/ New Line will move forward with a new Jason Voorhees film with plans to release it on November 13th, 2020. Now of course, this bit of info has not been confirmed, so take it with a grain of salt.
Back in 2013 WB's made a deal with Paramount Pictures, given up their profit sharing rights to “Friday the 13th franchise” for the next five years as part of a deal to co-produce a Christopher Nolan flick “Interstellar” with Paramount.
But for some reason Paramount could never get it together, as the years rolled by it became more and more clearly a new Friday The 13th film wasn't going to happen over at Paramount. The final nail in the coffin came when RINGS became a box office failure for Paramount back in February of 2017.
