It appears the end is near for AMC's The Walking Dead, it has been announced that Andrew Lincoln aka Rick Grimes will leave the series during Season 9. As of right now, it's unclear if his character will be killed off, but what is clear Norman Reedus will take on leading role status, according to Collider.
Ratings for the show have been on the decline in viewership over the past couple of years. It also appears Lauren Cohan aka Maggie may be on the way out as well, she is only confirmed for six episodes next season - plus a new series coming up for ABC 'Whiskey Cavalier'. The likelihood of her leaving the show is strong.
