In a recent interview with "EW" Directors Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman confirm that Paranormal Activity 4 will be a modern day take.. And that they’re working on expanding the mythology into a fifth PA film..
“I can tell you this – we’re definitely expanding on the mythology and the history of this demon,” Schulman says of PA4. “We’re really trying to get to the bottom of it!”
