9.25 Twitter Contest For '#HoldYourBreath':

The Asylum, the studio best known for direct-to-video productions and cheap knock offs - goes Theatrical with "#Hold Your Breath".. The big question will be - Do you want to go (out of your way) and catch a flick from Asylum on the BIG screen? Clearly the studio has an uphill battle, after years of direct-to-video's with poorly done CGI effects films..

Press Release: Independent production and distribution studio The Asylum announced today a Midnight Madness Twitter Contest that kicks off tonight and runs twelve nights through the morning of October 7, 2012. The contest, which celebrates the company’s first theatrical film, #HOLDYOURBREATH, will feature daily prizes of movie tickets and DVDs, with a grand prize of a non-speaking role in an upcoming Asylum film. And that can only mean one thing – falling victim to one of the studio's legendary monsters, disasters or other mayhem.

Based on the urban legend that you can breathe in evil spirits when passing cemeteries, #HOLDYOURBREATH follows seven friends embarking on a weekend camping trip who pass a run-down cemetery and find themselves arguing about the legitimacy of the urban myth. When one friend refuses to hold his breath while passing by, he finds himself the unwitting host to a notorious serial killer who jumps from body to body in order to pick off each of the friends one-by-one. The film stars Katrina Bowden (TV’s “30 Rock”, American Reunion, Piranha 3DD), and Randy Wayne (TV’s “True Blood” and “The Secret Life of the American Teenager”).

Each night for the next twelve nights, between 8:30pm – 3:30am Pacific / 11:30pm – 6:30am Eastern, visit www.twitter.com and tweet your most interesting, frightening or surprising stories or comments regarding graveyards, ghosts, superstitions, possessions and hauntings. Include the hashtag #HoldYourBreath in your tweet, and you’ll be entered to win. The grand prize includes travel and lodging to the set of an upcoming Asylum film, where the winner will be, well, mutilated.

The Asylum, the studio behind such Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus, Zombie Apocalypse, Paranormal Entity and Two-Headed Shark Attack is already planning their next victim’s demise! Be sure to enter now.
