1.17 Robert Hall Talks 'Chopping Mall' Remake:

In a recent interview with "DailyDead.com" Robert Hall talked his upcoming remake of 'Chopping Mall'.. Back in 2011 Hall's Dry County Entertainment acquired the rights to the flick with plans to go into production in 2012.. But the year came and went without the film going into production..

“Chopping Mall is still on the slate. We’re working with Roger [Corman] on that and we have it in development. My writing partner, Kevin Bocarde, is doing the heavy lifting right now. He has a script that I’m supposed to start my pass on pretty soon. We have a pretty solid plan for getting it out and it might even start rolling sometime late summer.”

The original film was produced by Roger Corman, directed by Jim Wynorski back in 1986.. The flick was about a bunch of killer robots stalking and killing teens in a locked down shopping mall. The new story would revolve around supernatural elements instead of robots..
