Producer Richard P. Rubenstein (who owns the rights to the film) appears to be inching closer and closer to converting George A. Romero’s 1979 classic 'Dawn Of The Dead' into 3D.. In what universe does this make sense? The project is being over see by Korea-based Stereo Pictures Media Inc conversion house with backing from DNext Media. With converting cost around the $6 million range..

Rubenstein is looking to re-release the film theatrically, with a release date sometime next year..

I personally can't stand 3D, I believe the gimmick is used by studios way to much - and it can't die soon enough..
