8.1 Release Date For 'FRIGHT NIGHT 2':

Back in the summer of 2011 a remake to the 1985 horror classic 'Fright Night', was released.. The film flopped big time at the box office.. But apparently the flick did well enough on dvd/blu-ray to justify a sequel.. On October 1st 'Fright Night 2', will land on DVD/Blu-ray - The film Stars: Will Payne, Jaime Murray, Sean Power, Sacha Parkinson And Chris Waller..

Plot: When high school student Charlie attends a study abroad program with his horror obsessed friend “Evil” Ed and ex-girlfriend AMY in Romania, he soon discovers their young attractive professor Gerri (Jaime Murray) is a real life vampire. Too bad no one believes him. In fact, Evil Ed finds it amusing and it only feeds his vampire obsession. When Gerri turns Ed, Charlie seeks out Peter Vincent, the infamous vampire hunter (well, he plays one on TV) who is in Romania filming his show “Fright Night,” to teach him how to take down Gerri before she gets to Amy, who’s blood will cure Gerri of spending eternity as a vampire.”

I'm a little confused if this flick is a sequel, than why in the hell is Evil Ed still alive? Didn't he die in the last film? Plus the plot sounds very similar to 'Fright Night 2011' film.. More of another remake than a sequel I think..
