3.24 Confirmed Director/Cast For 'Amityville' Flick:

You guys remember the once talked about found footage flick 'The Amityville Horror: The Lost Tapes'? Remember at one time the film was set for release in January 2012 - than that date was moved to January 1st, 2014.. But than it was reported that, the film was dead for now, production never started on the project.. Then we learned that the project was still alive - And that Dimension Films went ahead and set the film for release January 2, 2015?

Now we have a confirmed director and cast - Franck Khalfoun (Maniac and P2), will direct the upcoming flick.. Actress Jennifer Jason Leigh (Dolores Claiborne, Single White Female, The Hitcher and Fast Times at Ridgemont High), will star along with Disney Channel sensation Bella Thorne... And a bonus for all you guys that are sick and tired of the found footage craze.. It appears that angle has been dropped..

Leigh will be playing Joan, a single mother raising three kids all on her own. The family move into the infamous “Amityville” house, only to learn that it has a very dark history...
