4.24 New 'Friday The 13th' Series Moving Closer:

It appears we are moving closer and closer to 'Friday The 13TH: The Series', as most of you guys know.. Back in the late 80s there was a short lived tv series that used Friday the 13th as it's title, but had nothing to do with the feature films.. According to Deadline that is about to change..

Crystal Lake Entertainment and Emmett/Furla/Oasis Films have signed a deal to produce a new hour long dramatic series based upon the characters and settings of Friday The 13th..

The story will center around Jason in multiple time periods and focusing on the eclectic characters of Crystal Lake who are forced to confront the return of the killer, as new secrets about his wacky family are revealed...

Sean S. Cunningham who directed the original 1980 classic will serve as executive producer along with EFO Films principals Randall Emmett & George Furla, Mark Canton of Atmosphere Entertainment MM, Steve B. Harris of Diversion3 Entertainment, and Ted Fox of Fox Entertainment.

Also producing is Horror Inc. president Robert Barsamian, who produced the features... Jordu Schell (Avatar) and Bill Basso (Terminator) have been tapped to script the storyline.. Roy Knyrim (Gods And Monsters) of SOTA FX will handle the special make-up effects...
