7.29 New 'Texas Chainsaw' Movie On The Way?

What the, ok guys you remember way back when (2013), Texas Chainsaw 3D made it's way into theaters with decent box office returns but to horrible reviews from critics and fans alike? At the time that didn't seem to matter to the producers of the flick, Lionsgate was on a fast track to reboot Texas Chainsaw into an all new franchise.. But then nothing - the studio back off from sequel talk till now..

It appears Lionsgate is ready to give Leatherface another go with the chainsaw, but get this.. The flick will not be a sequel to 'Texas Chainsaw 3D', but another damn prequel.. According to Bloody Disgusting.com, the film will be a sequel to Tobe Hooper’s 1974 classic and a prequel to 'TC3D'.. Yeah try to make sense to that shit... The story will follow Leatherface's teenage years.. That's right 'Leatherface: The Wonder Years'.. So I'm guessing Leatherface was a teen in Tobe Hooper’s classic?? That's news to me!

"..an unidentified writer is rumored to be in talks to pen Leatherface’s "teenage years". This would mean that Dan Yeager would not be returning as the iconic chainsaw-weilding slasher, and that it would be a sequel to Tobe Hooper’s 1974 TCM…and a prequel to last year’s TC3D."
