It appears that a new TV series based on Resident Evil may be in the works - The series would be titled 'Arklay': According to various websites, Arklay would be a scripted survival horror series centering around a detective James Reinhardt, who is investigating "the mysterious homicides of Raccoon City..."
"When Detective James Reinhardt is thrust into a series of bizarre homicides, he unravels the city is hiding a dark conspiracy. Learning a fatal virus is connected to it all, Reinhardt discovers it’s already coursing through him. With time no longer on his side, he must solve the conspiracy to save his own life..."
The project appears to be in the early development stage as of right now, with a 2015 release date (maybe).. Below you can check out a concept pitch video using footage from various series/films.. I really don't see any reason why this would not work, with the success of shows like The Walking Dead and The Strain.. This should be a no-brainer, you just have to keep the show grounded - So please no superhuman hybrid's!
