Some awesome news has found it's way online! Marcy Boyle and Rachel Holzman, via DPYX are gearing up to produce a documentary based on the late legendary filmmaker Debra Hill...
Born November 10, 1950 in Haddonfield, New Jersey, Hill began her career as a script supervisor in the 1970s, including on John Carpenter's ASSAULT ON PRECINCT 13. She teamed with Carpenter on his next feature, HALLOWEEN, as his co-writer and producer. After the extraordinary success of that film, Hill became a key player in a wave of trailblazing women who broke barriers in the male-dominated film industry.
She produced notable genre films such as THE FOG, ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK, THE DEAD ZONE and HALLOWEEN I, II & III; comedies with cult followings such as CLUE, ADVENTURES IN BABYSITTING and BIG TOP PEE-WEE; and the critically-acclaimed, award-winning film THE FISHER KING.
Boyle and Holzman will write and direct - Filming is set to begin sometime January 2015...
