Last month it was announced that Director James Wan would be returning for THE CONJURING 2', and that the film would be pushed back from it's October 23, 2015 to sometime 2016.. We now know the film will make it's way into theaters June 10, 2016...
At the time when it was announced the film would be delayed, I thought maybe the studio was struggling to find the right director... But that was not the case at all, the move was made in order to accommodate director James Wan..
Last year The Conjuring' pulled in a whopping $318,000,141 (Worldwide) on a $20 million dollar budget. And in spite of being universally hated by critics, The Conjuring spin-off 'Annabelle', has already pulled in $244.1 million (Worldwide) on a $6.5 million dollar budget..
You can't blame New Line Cinema/Warner Bros. wanting James back, after all.
