Last month we told you guys that French filmmakers Alexandre Bustillo and Julian Maury (team behind 2007's extremely brutal flick 'INSIDE') were close to signing on to direct the next installment of the Texas Chainsaw franchise... We now can confirmed the duo will indeed direct Leatherface’s wonder years..
The story will center around on a young teenage Leatherface’s and finds the boy on the run from a mental institution with a pack of other maniacs.. The film is being titled 'Leatherface', for now.. Anyways it is not known at this time if Lionsgate will be back to distribute...
I think this is one stupid idea, we don't need a film based on the teenage years of Leatherface, no more than we needed to see a young punk ass Michael Myers running around causing mischief and mayhem... This is nothing but a money grab by the producers and the studio..
But I will say this - if anyone can save this film from being another shit stain on the franchise, it will be Alexandre Bustillo and Julian Maury...
