12.21 Bruce Campbell Talks 'Ash vs Evil Dead' TV Series:

Here it is just a few days before Christmas and Bruce Campbell has decided to give us all an early Christmas gift.. By updating us all on the upcoming 'Ash vs Evil Dead' tv series - Speaking with EW Campbell goes in to more detail about his character Ash and why they decided to go with a series rather than a feature film...

"in the format of a TV show, we could give people exactly what they wanted and expand the character and the story even more.” And who’s going to complain about seeing more of Ash and his boomstick? No one."

"You could have a [field day] with his PTSD. He’s a war vet. He doesn’t want to talk about it, and he’ll lie about that stump on his hand to impress the ladies. That’s what I look forward to playing – a guy with horrible flaws. In Army of Darkness he can’t memorize three words, and he’s responsible for the death of a hundred people – this is your lead character!"

Story: Ash has spent the last 30 years avoiding responsibility, maturity and the terrors of the Evil Dead until a Deadite plague threatens to destroy all of mankind and Ash becomes mankind's only hope...

The series is set to premiere on Starz sometime next year.. Or at least I hope...
