'The Exorcist' Is Safe For Now:

It appears 'THE EXORCIST' is safe for now.. Last week Morgan Creek Productions set off a firestorm when studio hinted around that a remake to the 1973 classic might be in the future.. Then director William Friedkin kind of confirmed what I read a while back:

I mention it only in passing, but I don't believe Morgan Creek has rights to THE ORIGINAL, only the so-called sequels. -William Friedkin..

Today Morgan Creek finally cleared the air, when the production company twitted out the following: For the record, we will never attempt to remake THE EXORCIST..
