01/11 Weekend Box Office Update:

J.J. Abrams "Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens", has become the first film to ever hit the $800 million mark in the North American box office.. Over the weekend: The film once again took the number one spot at the Domestic box office, bring in $42.4M (Domestic Total: $812,734,828 million)..

As far as Worldwide numbers go - The Force Awakens had a strong opening in China pulling in $52.6M over Saturday/Sunday.. Worldwide total now stands at $1.73 billion.. On a side note EP7 is now the all time top grossing film in the UK - pushing Skyfall to number 2..
