3.22 UPDATE For "Jacob's Ladder" Remake:

You guys remember a few years back when it was announced Adrian Lyne's psychological horror classic "Jacob's Ladder"was set to be remade and that James Foley (At Close Range, Fear, The Chamber and Perfect Stranger) had signed on to direct? And then NOTHING?

Well it now appears there is some movement on the project - Michael Ealy (The Perfect Guy, Seven Pounds, Underworld: Awakening) has singed on to star in the upcoming reboot.. And apparently director James Foley is no longer involved, because David M. Rosenthal (The Perfect Guy) has signed on to helm the project... Principal photography set to begin in mid-May... The story will be a modern day paranoid action thriller about two brothers...

Original 1990 story centered around New York postal worker Jacob Singer trying to keep his frayed life from unraveling. His days are increasingly being invaded by flashbacks to his first marriage, his now-dead son, and his tour of duty in Vietnam. Although his new wife tries to help Jacob keep his grip on sanity, the line between reality and delusion is steadily growing more and more uncertain...

The flick starred: Tim Robbins, Elizabeth Peña, Danny Aiello, Matt Craven, Ving Rhames, Patricia Kalember, Pruitt Taylor Vince And Jason Alexander.. Written By: Bruce Joel Rubin & Directed By: Adrian Lyne..
