5/24 John Carpenter Returns To "HALLOWEEN":




Before you get too excited, John Carpenter is not directing - but he will act as executive producer on the upcoming project and rumor has it he might compose the music as well.. Back in December of last year, we told you guys the franchise might be on the move and that Dimension Films (The Weinstein Company) no longer had distribution rights..

It now appears the franchise has found a new home, according to Bloody-Disgusting.com the next Halloween film will be a joint production between Blumhouse, Miramax, and Trancas International Films.. Blumhouse’s Jason Blum and Trancas’ Malek Akkad will produce...

When asked about his return to the Halloween franchise, Carpenter had this to say: 38 years after the original Halloween. I’m going to help to try to make the 10th sequel the scariest of them all...
