David Fincher To Direct "WORLD WAR Z" Sequel?

It appears David Fincher (Seven, Fight Club, The Social Network, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Gone Girl) is in talks to direct the upcoming sequel to "WORLD WAR Z", according to Variety..

Paramount Pictures and Skydance have been negotiating with Fincher and have not made an offer to any other director..

If Fincher does sign on it would mark the fourth time he has worked with Brad Pitt.. WORLD WAR Z 2' is set to land in theaters June 9, 2017 - I don't see it happening, the sequel has struggled to get off the ground since being announced back in 2013..
