Just as I predicted Paramount Pictures has pulled the upcoming reboot of 'Friday The 13th', from it's January 13th, 2017 release date.. The film is now set for release on Friday, October 13th, 2017..
Just a few weeks ago it was revealed that Victor Miller co-writer on the original Friday The 13th, wanted to reclaim ownership and filed a termination of his grant of property rights effective July 2018..
I'm not sure if that had anything to do with the delay - in reality the film was not even close to filming.. As of right now the project has no cast or director, but Breck Eisner (Sahara, The Crazies, The Last Witch Hunter) may be close to signing on to helm the reboot..
