But the film did just ok at the box-office , so it appeared any sequels would be highly unlikely - Now 5 years later Sony is ready move forward, oddly the studio will skip The Girl Who Played With Fire and The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest.. But Steven Knight has made it clear this will be a sequel to Fincher's (The Girl In The Dragon Tattoo)..
As of right now it's unclear if Rooney Mara will return as Lisbeth Salander.. But she has said in interviews that she would be willing to return.. As far as Daniel Craig goes I would be very surprise if he returns as Mikael Blomkvist...
