You guys remember last year when it was announced that the loooong talked about sequel to 2008's sleeper hit 'The Strangers', would hit theaters this December 2, 2016?? Well seeing that Dec 2 is almost upon us, clearly the film will not make that release date! As a matter of fact the project never made it in to production and according to producer Adrienne Biddle (frequent collaborator with director Bryan Bertino) the film will not happen anytime soon:
"Bryan and I and our company are not attached to the project at this point. He wrote the original script, which I will say is a fantastic piece of writing, but he was never going to direct it, and it’s in Relativity Media’s hands following the sale of Rogue to Relativity. With all the troubles they’ve had, I don’t know if it’s going to happen. If they can get their financial act together, maybe, but it has almost happened two or three or four times over the last five or six years, so I’ll believe it when it see it.”
