It appears The CW will give it another go and try to reboot "CHARMED".. The series ended its original run back in 2006 after Eight seasons and Starring: Shannen Doherty, Alyssa Milano, and Holly Marie Combs - Rose McGowan was added to the cast when Doherty left the series after season 3..
The original series was about a trio of sisters, known as The Charmed Ones, the most powerful good witches of all time, who use their combined "Power of Three" to protect innocent lives from evil beings such as demons and warlocks. Each sister possesses unique magical powers that grow and evolve, while they attempt to maintain normal lives in modern-day San Francisco.
The new series will be a reimagining, set in 1976. The reboot will be connected to the original series in some fashion, though it's not entirely clear at this point how that will come to pass..
This is not the first time a reboot has been greenlit - back in 2013 "Party of Five" co-creator Chris Keyser and Sydney Sidner wrote a Charmed 2.0 pilot script for CBS, but it never made it into production..
