It is unclear if Barbeau backed out of the film because of the growing controversy surrounding director Victor Salva.. If you didn't know, Salva sexually molested a 12-year-old boy.. The child was the star of Salva's first feature film "Clownhouse", he was also convicted for owning child pornography.. There is push to stop production on the film all together..
Rumor has it, Gina Philips will return as Trish, the character appeared in the first Jeepers Creepers..
