Have you watched M. Night Shyamalan's "SPLIT"? No? Than STOP reading now and go check it out, the film is pretty damn awesome!
I'm sure most of you know by now that SPLIT is somewhat of a sequel to "UNBREAKABLE".. The film is basically an origin story of a supervillain.. It appears M. Night will fund the upcoming sequel to Split/Unbreakable titled "GLASS" entirely on his own..
M. Night Shyamalan speaking with Deadline.com:
"I’m going to approach it the same way I approached The Visit and Split, with the same kind of philosophy—that this is the budget, I’m going to fund it, and we’re going to make it for that number. If we can’t afford it, then I can’t use that person, or I have to rewrite that scene. Just put those limits on myself, and for a reason—to come up with a type of film that, in its genetics, feels like it is ideas-driven and not money-driven."
This is great news, his last two films have been top notch - it's clear he functions better as a filmmaker when he is working with a limited budget..
