Todd Phillips (War Dogs, The Hangover, Road Trip) will direct and co-write the script alongside Scott Silver (8 MILE).. It doesn't appear the flick will have any connection with Jared Leto Suicide Squad Joker, the story will be a dark gritty grounded hard-boiled crime thriller, that takes place in early 80s Gotham City..
I'm a little surprised Warner Bros is going with Todd Phillips to write and direct, most of the films he has been involved with - have been raunchy comedies..
