Let's Take A Look Back At 'Kingdom Of The Spiders' Starring William Shatner:

Follow Me Over At Slasher:

Kingdom Of The Spider's is one of my favorite films to come out of the 70s and in my opinion the best film about killer spiders ever made. I believe Shatner gives one of his better acting jobs in the flick of course being surrounded by good character actors helps I'm sure. The film centers on:

Rural Arizona veterinarian Rack Hansen as he investigate an onslaught of killer tarantulas that's not only killing all the livestock around town but killing the town folks as well.

The film is definitely not for everyone if you have a spider phobia I highly recommend not watching this flick also it's obvious thousands of tarantulas were killed while making the film so if that sort of thing bothers you just avoid the movie.

But just keep in mind the flick was made in the 70s. What was acceptable in those days are clearly not acceptable now so it's good to realize that and just enjoy the movie. If you can do that I highly recommend this little creature feature from the 70s that most people have never heard of. 7 out of 10 Severed Thumbs 👍

BTW Warning: This flick has an opening credits song 'Peaceful Verde Valley' that will embedded itself into your brain for day's. The song also makes another appearance during the films closing credits.

With a $1 million dollar budget Kingdom Of The Spiders was released on November 23rd 1977, via Dimension Pictures. The film would go on to gross $17 million dollars in North America.

Not to be confused with
Weinstein's Dimension Films, Dimension Pictures was a short lived independent studio that was founded in 1971 but ultimately went under in 1981. The studio is responsible for many of those 70s exploitation films we all love.
