Let's Talk 1980 'THE CHILDREN':

Follow Me Over At Slasher:

Max Kalmanowicz's cult classic
'THE CHILDREN' was released into (limited) theaters June 6th 1980, via World-Northal Films.

The film mainly played in Drive-Ins across the mid-west and southern States, ultimately grossing around $7 million dollars at the North America Box-office.

Not to be confused with writer/director Tom Shanklan 2008 film 'The Children' remake non-remake. Shankland doesn't considered his film a remake even though the film carries the same title and very similar premise and storyline but okay whatever lol.. Don't get me wrong Shankland's film is an okay flick and worth checking out. But anyways

The Children 1980 centers around a nuclear-plant suffering a toxic waste leak that infects a school bus-load of children turning those precious angels into murderous atomic zombies with black fingernails...

I have been a massive fan of this every since I was a kid. Yes the story is a little silly and campy it's definitely not for everyone.

7 out of 10 Severed Thumbs 👍 in my opinion of course.

If you are wondering The Children 2008 centers around a group of kids on Christmas vacation in the country with some of the most dumbest sh@t for brain parents on the planet only to be infected with a mysterys virus that turns those adorable little tykes into brutal psychotic killers.
