Let's Talk 1991's 'The Omen IV: The Awakening'

I'm sure I'm in the minority here but I actually enjoyed the hell out of 1991's horror/mystery 'Omen IV: The Awakening' hell with that being said I'm sure most people has never heard of this film or forgot it even existed.

The film was made for tv and  at the time was intended to kick off a new made-for-tv trilogy of films for the Fox Network. Omen IV premiered on the Fox network, May 20, 1991 the flick also had a theatrical run in some countries.

The plot centeres around
a Virginia congressman Gene York and his high power attorney wife Karen York adopting a mysterious orphan girl that the couple names Delia from a nun-owned orphanage unaware she is the new Antichrist, next in line from Damien Thorn.

I always thought the Omen IV was just a creepy little film. it's not loaded with gore or over the top jump scares. Awakening relies on atmospheric and sold acting. It's definitely a slow burn so it's not going to be for everyone. Is Omen IV better than the original three films? No! But in my opinion it's definitely a lot better than that borefest 2006 remake.

Anyways if you are in the mood to watch a little moody horror film from the early 90s I highly recommend checking this flick out.
