Kristen, who is in her early 20's, wakes to find herself bruised, cut, drugged, and held against her will in a remote ward of Chamberlain Psychiatric Hospital. She is completely disoriented with no idea why she was brought to this place and no memory of her life.
The other patients in the ward, four equally troubled girls, offer no answers, and Kristen quickly realizes things are not as they seem. The air is heavy with secrets, and at night, when the hospital is dark and foreboding, she hears strange and disturbing sounds. It appears they are not alone.
One by one the girls disappear, and Kristen must find a way out of this hellish place before the ghost comes for her, too. As she struggles to escape, she will uncover a truth far more dangerous and horrifying than anyone could have imagined.

House of Purgatory:

First-time writer director Tyler Christensen has assembled a cast of relative newcomers (Anne Leighton, Laura Coover, Aaron Calvin, Brad Fry) for this Wisconsin lensed indie fright flick about a haunted house attractive that gives Halloween thrillseekers more than their money's worth
Every Halloween stories circulate about a haunted house so terrifying that the organizers give money back to people brave enough to make it up each of the 7 floors.
Rumor has it that nobody has ever made it all the way to the top.
Brian Krause ("Charmed", Stephen King's Sleepwalker) co-stars as a character known simply as "The Skeleton", a character I presume will be a sinister being lurking within the confines of the haunted house.

Darren Bousman Talks 'Ninety':

"It's psychotic and it's crazy," Bousman tells This Week In. "I wanted to do a movie that's fun. 'Repo!' was fun, and I think that translated well into the movie. '11-11-11' and 'Mother's Day' are not fun movies. 'Ninety' is fun. It's 90 kills in 90 minutes. Done. Sold. Buy my ticket. We're talking unique kills, too; it's not like I just put ninety people in a room and dropped a bomb. The script is from Scott Milam, who also wrote 'Mother's Day.' It's a cross between 'Natural Born Killers,' 'True Romance,' and something a little more lighthearted."

Bousman continues, "When you're going to kill ninety people in a movie, after a while it could become monotonous. You'll feel like, "Okay, I've seen this. I'm done." To combat that, we're going out of our way to make our killer cool and badass, like Mickey and Mallory were in 'NBK.' You'll see the movie and just want to be the killer. Obviously we don't want anyone to ever emulate being a killer as obviously that's wrong, but we made sure our guy is just very likable. There's two times that you'll even want to high-five him."

Steve Niles Talks Remains Film:

"Everyone is all caught up on what zombies are now," Niles says. "I wrote [WD series creator] Robert Kirkman an email thanking him. Remains is an older property I wrote years ago and I credit the popularity of The Walking Dead for the Remains movie."

Niles tells us Chiller had been after the property for some time. It wasn't until recently that the network announced it was getting behind a small screen adaptation with Colin Theys directing. The film is being shot in Connecticut and is slated to debut sometime this fall. How faithful to the story the film will be is unknown, but Niles isn't going to settle for a "loose adaptation." "I'm going to be a stickler about the story. I let the guys know, this is the one thing I'll be a pill about. You always see this stuff wander from the source material and I'm not saying Remains is this big thing, but it's the property they bought, so let's stay close to it."

He shouldn't be too concerned. Early reports stemming from local media around Mystic, Connecticut (where production is underway) says the film is indeed set at a Reno, Nevada casino, so it's on the right track. For those not familiar with the comic, Remains follows a squabbling blackjack dealer and a waitress/dancer fending off zombies, bikers and a new kind of menace in the wake of world-wide nuclear devastation.

"We're doing a TV movie with a limited budget," Niles says, "but Remains works for that. It's a simple story that takes place in one or two locations. This is sort of a low budget experiment. I've been down this road before with an attempt to adapt my stories for DVD and it didn't have the greatest results, so I'm hoping we'll figure out how to do this. I told them to read Richard Matheson's scripts. He wrote the best made-for-TV stories. Those Night Stalker films are still great. If they pull off some Dan Curtis-style television antics, I'll be happy. We're going to have fun with the zombies, we're dealing with two separate types here.”

Niles hopes Remains paves the way for more television work. "We're going to start with this movie and hopefully build from there. My life dream is to do some sort of Twilight Zone/Tales from the Crypt show."
