01/27 Teaser Trailer For The Remainder Of "The Walking Dead" Season Two:

"The Walking Dead" tells the story of the weeks and months that follow a pandemic zombie apocalypse. County Sheriff Rick Grimes travels with his family and a small group of survivors, constantly in search of a safe and secure home. But the constant pressure of fighting off death on a daily basis takes a heavy toll, sending many to the lowest depths of human cruelty. As Rick struggles to keep his family alive, he will discover that the overwhelming fear of the survivors can be far more dangerous than the mindless walkers roaming the earth.

Recently the producers promised an uptick in action. We will resolve these story lines," said Gale Anne Hurd. "Certainly people earned that resolution, earned that reveal. The farm has allowed us to develop the characters because it's not a constant threat. They're not always on the run. The dynamics among the members of the group are beginning to fester and beginning to build to a climax."

The Walking Dead will return February 12..

01/27 REMAKE ALERT: The City Of The Dead AKA (Horror Hotel):

It appears the classic British horror film, "The City of the Dead" (Known as Horror Hotel in the US) looks as is it is the next film to get the emake treatment.

S.J. Evans will write and direct the remake with Adam Stephen Kelly developing and producing the remake.

In the original film which starred Christopher Lee, ”A young coed (Nan Barlow) uses her winter vacation to research a paper on witchcraft in New England. Her professor (Christopher Lee) recommends that she spend her time in a small village called Whitewood. Things begin to happen in earnest when she finds herself marked for sacrifice by the undead coven of witches”

Evans states, “The remake of THE CITY OF THE DEAD will stay true to the original and concentrate on atmosphere and good old fashioned storytelling, instead of relying on gore or CGI to move the plot along. I grew up watching the classic Universal horrors and was inspired by how the likes of James Whale created this sense of dread and unease with just a look. I want to bring that style of filmmaking back to the big screen instead of another music video, quick-cut horror film. We are all very excited by the prospect of bringing one of the greatest witchcraft films ever made to a new audience and know that fans of the original will be satisfied with the effort we are making to honour this classic.”

01/26 THE LAST EXORCISM 2 Update:

Ed Gass-Donnelly has been hired to direct the R-rated follow-up to the 2010 horror/thriller hit for Arcade Pictures, Strike Entertainment and Studiocanal. Ashley Bell starred in the $1.5 million-budgeted PG-13 original film which ended up grossing $70 million worldwide. That story centered on a charlatan exorcist facing a crisis of conscience who invites a documentary crew on his final exorcism where he comes across the possessed Nell (Bell). The sequel will pick up three months after that film left off, although further story details are being kept under wraps. Damien Chazelle penned the script.

Producer Eli Roth says "we want to go deeper and darker this time. The first film worked great as a PG-13 psychological film, but now we want to go R-rated and show the true horror of what this subject matter offers". Shooting kicks off next month in New Orleans.

01/18 No Michonne For This Seasons "The Walking Dead":

If you were hoping to see a beloved character found within the pages of The Walking Dead this season, well, we have some bad news. Michonne, the samurai sword-wielding survivor of the zombie apocalypse Rick and his company meeting on their journey, is being saved for "future seasons," says Gale Anne Hurd - one of the show's producers.

"We are following the character development of the women in the comic book. Andrea is already undergoing a change in her character from a civil rights attorney lacking survival skills already found in some of the men (like the deputies Rick and Shane, or the survivalist Daryl) into someone who can take care of herself. Maggie Greene is a farmer’s daughter who can ride horses better than any of the men, and takes out a walker the first time we see her in the series. And one of the most kick ass characters from the comic book is Michonne, a samurai sword wielding woman, who will be introduced in future seasons."

In this case, the girl not only survived but has become a killer of killers. 01/12 The Devil Inside Me Sequel Talk:

THE DEVIL INSIDE as a possible horror franchise, faces a dilemma. Does it move forward strictly based on its $34.5 million opening? Or, does it take caution and avoid sequel-itis given that it received an "F" Cinemascore? Obviously, the studio could do a sequel with the creators if they strived to do something better. Also, the film's second weekend will likely dictate how everyone proceeds as well. But for right now, there is no rush, says Steven Schneider. The Wrap spoke with the executive producer recently; you'll find what he had to say after the jump. Schneider says: "It's a little premature. Everybody is processing what happened -- the remarkable weekend we had -- and feeling really good about that." He went on to add:

"Certainly the filmmakers and Lorenzo (di Bonaventura) and I would all love to explore that with the studio and I think we believe that there is absolutely the potential to carry forward our storylines from the original. It would be a rather organic and fun process -- and one that would lead to great results." Schneider is behind the PARANORMAL ACTIVITY films as well as last year's horror hit, INSIDIOUS.

I thought the flick was Extremely Disappointing.. The ending completely cheated the audience out of their hard earned cash..

01/10 WORLD WAR Z To Be Trilogy:

When it was announced Paramount Pictures was turning Max Brooks' zombie apocalypse meets political satire book "World War Z" into a film, many were left wondering how they would do it. After all the novel is really an anthology, each chapter is essentially an interview of a different subject in a different part of the world, allowing each chapter to focus on how people and nations reacted to the crisis before, during and after. To do that in a single film would be a stretch, this is much more something that lends itself to a TV series.

Now we have an idea of how they intend to do to proceed - in the form of a trilogy. The L.A. Times ran a recent profile piece on Pitt and dropped the following quote - "Forster and Paramount Pictures each view WORLD WAR Z as a trilogy that would have the grounded, gun-metal realism of, say, Damon's Jason Bourne series tethered to the unsettling end-times vibe of AMC's THE WALKING DEAD". As previously indicated, the story has been re-written in the form of a narrative with Pitt's central character likely to be involved in some of the situations described in the books. There's a lot of 'interview subjects' in the book with their own scenarios, a single film could only exploit a few of them whereas a trilogy would cover almost all the major ones. The project is currently scheduled for release next Christmas.

In a very short time Princess reveals her dark and supernatural nature: she can move objects with the power of her mind and she is extremely strong. To escape is just a dream for all of the prisoners, that even don’t know what awaits for them outside the walls of the fortress nor they are interested in: the only thing that matters is to escape from that doomed place.

He’s alive inside, unlike the hundreds of other grunting, drooling undead — all victims of a recent plague that drove the remaining survivors into a heavily guarded city. Determined to save her—first from the other Zombies and then from the Boneys—R hides her in his home, a cluttered 747 aircraft.
