04/30 Dinosaurs To Feast On Los Angeles?
It appears Warner Bros. wants to Attack Los Angeles with Dinosaurs in new Project!
According to Deadline: Warner Bros. has acquired a pitch that finds "rapidly evolving" dinosaurs attacking modern-day Los Angeles. Exact plot details are under wraps. Mike Bayman is writing the script and John Clisham will direct.
The project was developed as a web series for Break, but Warner Bros. got excited after seeing the FX tests.

New insists that a vengeful spirit caused that accident, but her belief unsettled those around her and she had to go through a psycho-therapy. Now, the woman is ready to fly again. Box Office Pro - Congratulations on landing the lead role in Carrie. What is it about the role that you find fascinating?
Moretz - "Thanks! It's an amazing role, and I'm so excited to get in there and try to tackle it and see what I can change up. It's already been done, and there's already been the amazing, amazing Sissy Spacek version of it, but what I really want to do is spice it up and take a more modern, younger approach to it because I am going through what Carrie is going through. She's figuring out who she is, and I just really want to get in there and see what I can do, feel it out."
In the story shy high school student Carrie White is raised by a nightmarish religious fanatic mother and comes to grip with devastating telepathic powers just as she reaches puberty. She eventually uses those gifts for lethal means when fellow classmates use the prom as an excuse to humiliate her before the entire school in a parable about bullying.
Look for Carrie to lan in theatres on March 15, 2013.

First deal of its kind - The San Jose, California based (Winchester Mystery House), considered the one of the “world’s most haunted house” (If you believe in that sort of thing) has authorized Hammer Films, Exclusive Media company, the use of its unique property for a feature film based on its legendary story! Hammer has optioned all rights to develop and produce the feature film with Imagination Design Works (IDW) and Nine/8 Entertainment, it was announced today by Simon Oakes, Vice-Chairman of Exclusive Media and President & CEO of Hammer, and Guy East and Nigel Sinclair, Co-Chairmen of Exclusive Media.
Production on the supernatural horror film currently in development will be overseen by Exclusive Media’s Tobin Armbrust, President of Worldwide Production and Acquisitions, and Shira Rockowitz, Director of Development and Production. Brett Tomberlin and Antonia Lianos will produce for Imagination Design Works, Inc along with Andrew Trapani and Brian Gilbert for Nine/8 Entertainment.
“The Winchester House has a rich and compelling history. The story behind how it was built has attracted a great deal of attention over the years and we are excited to bring that mythology to film,” said Tobin Armbrust. “We are also thrilled, and terrified, that the House has allowed us to film on the premises.”

For many years, the mystique and history of this unique venue, and its owner Sarah Winchester, could be experienced only by those visiting the site. Now, with a film shot in and around the House, Sarah’s spirit will be brought back to life, and the audience will see first-hand this stunning and bizarre house,” said Brett Tomberlin, President, Imagination Design Works.
History: Sarah Lockwood Pardee married William Winchester of the Winchester Repeating Arms Company in 1862. Their only child, a six-month-old daughter died in 1866. William died of tuberculosis a few years later. The distraught Sarah visited a Boston psychic (a common practice at the time) who told her the deaths were revenge from the ghosts of those killed by Winchester rifles, and that Sarah could escape the spirits' wrath by moving west and building a house that would never be finished.
Sarah Winchester took her $20 million cash inheritance and $1,000-a-day income and moved west to California in 1884. She bought an unfinished, eight-room farmhouse near San Jose which is now known as the Winchester Mystery House. She soon started building 24 hours a day, 7 days a week - and she never stopped. For the next 38 years, the house grew like kudzu along a Virginia highway, swallowing up everything around it, including the barn and water tower.
Opinions vary about why Sarah kept building the Winchester House. While some say she thought it would prevent her death, others reckon that she was just a crazy, rich woman with too much money and a poor sense of building design. Every night, Sarah is rumored to have retreated to her seance room to consult the spirits, who gave her building instructions. Neither Sarah nor her spirits were good architects, and the Winchester House grew without plan or blueprint.
By April, 1906, the Winchester House rose seven stories high. A massive earthquake struck, setting off fires that destroyed much of San Francisco. In San Jose, Sarah Winchester was imprisoned in her bedroom. When freed, she announced that the earthquake was a message from the spirits that she was spending too much time in the front rooms. She boarded up 30 of them, blocking access to her new $3,000 front doors, and never used them again.
Sarah spent over $5 million building and rebuilding the bizarre Winchester House, but it didn't ensure her immortality. She died in her sleep on September 5, 1922. Construction stopped abruptly. Some say the carpenters were so happy to be done that they stopped without even hammering in the nail they were working on. By then, Winchester had created a sprawling structure covering 6 acres with 160 rooms, 13 bathrooms, 6 kitchens, 40 staircases, 47 fireplaces, 2,000 doors and 10,000 windows.
A small clue to Sarah's thoughts was found in the contents of her safe after she died. Servants opened it, no doubt thinking it might contain items of great value, but all they found were locks of her husband's and infant daughter's hair, along with copies of their obituaries.
Even if Sarah really believed that the building would help her live forever, she had a contingency plan: a will written in 13 parts and signed 13 times. She provided for some of her servants, left her furniture to her niece and said nothing about the building she had spent so much of her energy on. The niece sold most of the furniture, which was carried away by the truckload: eight truckloads a day for six and a half weeks. The Winchester House was sold and turned into the tourist attraction it is today.
On a saner note, Sarah donated almost $2 million to the Winchester Fund for treatment of tuberculosis at New Haven Hospital, which she founded after her husband's death.
Sarah was also sometimes a practical and inventive woman, and there are many unusual innovations in the Winchester House, including a shower specially designed so the diminutive Sarah could wash without getting her hair wet, an elaborate servant call system, a conservatory room designed to save water, and a patented laundry room sink with built-in scrub-board and soap holders.

04/26 Found Footage May Be Instore For "The Ring":
Gooman touched on The Ring and where it could be headed: "The thing we're most proud of is that the three Paranormal movies, Jackass 3D, The Devil Inside and Justin Bieber: Never Say Never were all made for $41 million or $42 million combined, and they have just
crossed $1 billion at the global box office. The Ring is something that really lends itself to this format right now, so we're talking to [producer] Walter Parkes about doing something with that. "
In the past few years Paramount has had a winning combination with low cost/high box office return - So you can read between the lines and it appears Goodman is saying that the next Ring could potentially be "found footage," which could work!

04/24 Artwork For Roland Emmerich-Produced "HELL":
"It was once the source of life, light and warmth. But now the sun has turned the entire world into baked and barren wasteland. Forests are scorched. Animal carcasses line the roads. Even the nights are dazzling bright. Marie (Hannah Herzsprung), her little sister Leonie (Lisa Vicari) and Phillip (Lars Eidinger) are heading for the mountains in a car with covered windows. Rumor has it there is still water there. Along the way they run into Tom (Stipe Erceg), a first-rate mechanic that becomes indispensible. But can they trust him? Tension grows in the small group. Directed by Tim Fehlbaum, the upcoming German production "HELL" will land on VOD August 9 and DVD August 21!

04/24 Official Trailer For "Hotel Transylvania":
Plot: “In the story, a sort of “Romeo and Juliet” with monsters, Simon Van Helsing — the youngest in a long line of monster hunters — falls in love with Dracula’s daughter. Upon the discovery that they are enemies, the couple attempt to bring peace between the monsters and humans.”
Hotel Transylvania features the voice of Adam Sandler, Andy Samberg, Selena Gomez, Kevin James, Fran Drescher, David Koechner, Cee Lo Green, Steve Buscemi, Molly Shannon and David Spade.

04/24 Jane Levy Talks "Evil Dead" Remake:
"For a while, whenever I was asked what my dream role would be, my answer was always to play a killer or a psychopath.
I get to do that in this movie, although I'll be possessed while I destroy my victims. So basically, it's a perfect job...
I really wanted to work on "Evil Dead" because of how different it is from "Suburgatory." I guess that's my main goal in this industry, to work on different stuff and to play a wide range of characters. That process of creating a new person is so fun for me. I love the initial makeup/hair tests before the start of a new job; I'm always campaigning for a new hair color or length, anything to look as different as possible.
This role also intrigued me because of how much I will learn, mostly technical stuff like special effects. That's fascinating to me. I had to get my body "casted" for this role so they can make me prosthetics. That process entailed getting your whole body covered in green goo, like the stuff they put in your mouth for a tooth casting, and then being papier-mâchéd. It was the coolest thing ever."
The remake is being Direction by Fede Alvarez - Stars Jane Levy, Lou Taylor Pucci, Shiloh Fernandez, Jessica Lucas and Elizabeth Blackmore.. The flick is produced by Sam Raimi, Rob Tapert and Bruce Campbell..
