Cameron who isn’t involved in the fifth film, mentioned to MTV that he hopes that the new Terminator movie will focus more on the T-800. Cameron spoke with Arnold Schwarzenegger and suggested that he should not proceed with the film unless they focus more on that character.
“I was trying to be as encouraging as possible. Frankly, at that time, I thought it needed to be more about him,” Cameron said. “I told him he should not do it until it’s focused on his character or he shouldn’t do it. I think there are some great stories that can be told about that character that haven’t even been thought of yet.”
The future for a new Terminator film looks bleak - Justin Lin was at one point attached to helm the fifth installment, but he had to drop from the project last September.
