1.15 Actor Sam Rockwell Talks 'Poltergeist' Reboot:

I don't know if you guys have noticed but we are only about 6 months out from Gil Kenan upcoming reboot of 'Poltergeist', we have yet to see any stills/posters/teaser trailers from the film (odd)... In a recent interview with Collider actor Sam Rockwell gave the site a bit of an update..

When asked if he has seen any of the film footage: "I’ve seen a little in looping. I hope it’s good. I really don’t know. I really wish I could tell you. I’m praying that it’s – I mean, it’s gonna be hard to live up to the first one. The first one’s pretty damn good. This one’s gonna be in 3D though, I can tell you that."

It appears this time around the story will seen through the eyes of a 10-year-old boy: The 10-year-old boy is really the protagonist this time. JoBeth Williams was the protagonist for the most part in the first one and now the kid, it’s really through his point-of-view. So it’s more of a kids’ movie so I don’t know if it’s gonna be like rated-R scary."

What kind of movie should we be expect? Is the flick scary? "It’s not like Conjuring type of scary. You know, it’s a different kind of movie. It’s more of an adventure. It’s essentially a child abduction film when you come down to it. I mean, the original Poltergeist is too."

Back in October of last year the MPAA gave the flick a PG-13 rating for intense frightening sequences, brief suggestive material, and some language... To me the rating is not a big deal because the original was rated PG, the pg-13 rating did not exist at the time, so I'm sure if it had.. That film would have been rated pg-13 as well..
