So the question is - was Wonderful Knife any good? Sadly no.
Don't get me wrong the film is not completely dog poop. Justin Long and William B. Davis (The X-Files) both give good performances.
The problem with the film is the story, it's all over the place and tries to cater 2 everyone and every genre. It literally tries to represent everyone. A film like that can work if done right. it's almost as if the director and writer had a ideology political checklist.
Like I said a film like that can work with a strong screenplay and better directing. To bad we don't have one here. It's A Wonderful Knife' is not Black Christmas 2019 bad, that flick is pure trash, Wonderful Knife is just bad.
The movie gets a 4 out of 10 Severed Thumbs. Only watch it if you are desperate for a Christmas horror movie.
Plot: Winnie's life is less than wonderful one year after saving her town from a psychotic killer on Christmas Eve. When she wishes she was never born, she finds herself magically transported to a nightmarish parallel universe.
With the murderous maniac now back, she must team up with a misfit to identify the culprit and get back to her own reality
Final thoughts: I would recommend films like the original Black Christmas, P2, Silent Night Deadly Night 🎅🏻 Silent Night, Deadly Night 5. Night Of The Comet ☄️, Better Watch Out, Gremlins, Krampus, A Christmas Horror Story.
Black Christmas 2006 🎅🏻 that film is actually pretty good. Heck even Silent Night 2012 is better than this flick. Anyways watch these films to get into the Christmas horror spirit 🎄
